Laminate is a very good choice for families with children or those who do not want to feel the pulse increase every time a guest puts a glass right on the table surface. The material has a high tolerance to fluid, dirt, scratches, pressure, shock and sunlight. In the vast majority of cases, an extremely thin layer of laminate has been glued to another material, such as plywood, particleboard or solid wood.

When it comes to cleaning, detergents and a damp cloth will suffice to remove dirt and stains from the children’s meals and restore the original brightness. Compared to linoleum, the laminate is not as smooth and soft. Laminates also do not have the same sound absorbing capacity as linoleum. Veneer is a thin layer of wood glued to a substrate, such as plywood. It works great primarily for conference tables, but also a number of dining tables. Why it’s not entirely optimal for 8 seater dining table set is that veneers rarely are more than a few millimeters thick. It is therefore sensitive to scratches and bumps, which is why we advise families with children to choose the right veneer.
